Course Overview

Learn The Fundamentals of FMECA & RCM

This one-day course provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to the Failure Modes, Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA) process as applied to the design of complex systems. Participants are introduced to the FMECA process and its place within the design lifecycle, and then stepped through the process activities required to complete a successful analysis. The course also provides a brief overview of the Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) analysis that typically follows the FMECA process. 

No prior technical or automotive engineering knowledge is needed. The course is designed to provide participants with sufficient understanding to actively participate in FMECA and RCM processes, and to apply the outcomes of such analyses.

Students receive a comprehensive set of notes.

Jim has over 25 years experience in the analysis and management of highly complex, safety related systems in the aerospace, defence, utilities and infrastructure industries. He has established and managed RAM and safety programmes, and conducted reliability, maintenance, risk and hazard analyses across a range of industries and technologies.
