Course Overview

Learn the Fundamentals of the Systems Engineering

This two-day systems engineering course provides students with an excellent introduction into the fundamental elements of the systems engineering method.  You will learn how to apply systems engineering to the design of complex systems, and by focussing on practical issues and real world challenges, students develop a solid understanding of common design problems encountered when engineering new systems.  The course also introduces students to use and benefits of model based systems engineering.

You will learn about the key systems engineering technical processes covering: operational analysis, requirements development, architecture design, functional analysis, design and synthesis, and verification & validation. Students also learn about technical project processes covering: systems engineering management, technical risk management, configuration management and requirements management. And finally, you will learn how project processes integrate with technical processes.

The training course provides essential information to allow students – with further additional detailed study – to sit the INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional examination. Attendees receive a comprehensive set of training notes with supplementary readings materials.
