Dr Chris Hollier
Military Communications Technology
Chris has over 30 years’ experience as a senior project engineer and project manager, including over 20 years, covering projects in military command, control and communications systems. He also lectured at the Australian Defence Academy where he taught Masters level courses in military communications, surveillance and guided weapons technology.
Dr Daniel Eggler
Mechanical Design & Vibration
Daniel has over 10 years’ experience delivering education excellence in the field of mechanical engineering. He is recognized as a highly accomplished tertiary education educator and was the senior mechanical design lecturer at the UNSW Sydney for 7 years. Daniel as awarded UNSW Faculty of Engineering – Educational Excellence & Innovation award in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Mr Andrew Ferguson
Integrated Logistic Support
Andrew has over 30 years’ ILS experience gained in both the Defence and industry sectors. He has held senior ILS management roles in both government and defence industry, and has been delivering ILS training since 2005. He has extensive experience with military vehicles and in the land domain.
Mr Clayton Forbes
MIL-STD 810H Environmental Testing
Clayton has been involved in product qualification testing for over 43 years. He started his career in 1981 for NTS performing seismic tests for the nuclear industry and then commenced product qualification for the military and aerospace industry in 1993. As an active member for the RTCA SC-135 committee, Clayton has been involved in the re-write of GR-63 and MIL-STD-810 E and has published articles in numerous magazine publications.
Mr Jim Ellwood
Reliability Engineering
Jim has over 25 years experience in the analysis and management of highly complex, safety related systems in the aerospace, defence, utilities and infrastructure industries. He has established and managed RAM and safety programmes, and conducted reliability, maintenance, risk and hazard analyses across a range of industries and technologies.
Mr Mark Eggler
Military Vehicle Technology & Systems Engineering
Mark is a senior professional engineer and project manager with over 25 years experience working on large complex projects. He has worked for the Australian Department of Defence and leading private sector organizations on major acquisition programs.
Mr Mark Schweikert
Mark has over 15 years of experience in Defence Test & Evaluation. As Director of the Australian Defence Test & Evaluation Organisation (ADTEO), he oversaw the development and approval of major project test plans. Mark co-authored Defence’s first T&E Roadmap and developed related policies and manuals. Mark has presented numerous papers at the International Systems Engineering Test and Evaluation Conference and delivered various Defence T&E upskilling courses.
Mr Scott Carlson
EMI/EMC/E³ Testing and Design
Scott is an EMI Principal Engineer and has been involved in product qualification testing for over 30 years. During his extensive career he has focused on EMI/EMC testing using military, aerospace, lightning, and high intensity radiated field (HIRF) standards.
Mrs Bron Rust-Jones
Modeling and Simulation
Bronwyn is a highly accomplished professional with over 25 years of leadership in maintenance engineering, capability development, simulation, systems engineering, and project management. Her distinguished career includes a decade of academic appointments, where she has shaped the future of systems engineering and simulation through inspiring lectures and thought leadership.
Mrs Mirela Derrin
Risk Management
Mirela has over 20 years of experience working as a professional engineer and risk management specialist. She has worked in the automotive, defence and energy sectors. She now specialises in technical risk management consulting and training.

We hosted more than ten EIT courses since 2018, via in-person, live/online, and online/on-demand delivery means. All of the feedback from students has been positive and the material deemed useful to the students in their respective duties. In addition, EIT is welcoming to suggestions for new course topics, as well as tailoring of the course material to the needs of the client.
